PARIS, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese highest-ranked Wang Qiang failed on her attempt of reaching women's singles last 32 in French Open following a 6-3, 6-0 loss to Polish youngster Iga Swiatek here on Thursday.

No Chinese player remained in the women's singles draw following No. 16 seed Wang's elimination.

The 17-year-old Swiatek dominated the scoreboard. She bettered Wang by nearly 20 percent in first serve win, and her 76% second serve win tripled that of Wang. Swiatek also fired 33 winners, compared to Wang's five.

"She played really well and aggressive, and could easily check my balls," admitted Wang.

Swiatek came into the duel 2-0 up, before Wang responded with two games in a row. The rhythm was in Swiatek's hand, as she constantly changed her play between long rallies and drop shots, taking away the first set 6-3.

The Polish built on her momentum to finish a bagel in the second set, knocking the world No. 16 out of the competition.

"My coach has told me that she plays really aggressive and also has drop shots. I feel upset on myself, as I don't know what I have to do on the court.

"I don't have any chance against her. Actually my chance is from her mistakes, not that I win the points," Wang pointed out, saying that her young opponent has the prospect of reaching top 10 on ranking if she keeps playing like that.

Wang broke into world's top 20 following her glittering performance in the second half of last year.

"My confidence went down a bit along with poor performance on clay, so I need to get it back as soon as possible," Wang noted.

Wang said, "Maybe I have not adjusted myself quite well to my current position. No matter on and off the court, I hope that I can make quick adjustment."

"The only thing I need to work on is training hard, and focusing on tennis, without giving too much pressure to myself," she added.
