KHARTOUM, July 19 (Xinhua) -- Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Thursday said that Sudan and Egypt have agreed to remove all barriers between them, particularly with regard to movement of individuals and commodities.

Speaking to reporters following talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi at the presidential palace in Khartoum on Thursday evening, al-Bashir said that "we want to start out in all economic, trade and cultural fields."

He reiterated that the two sides would work together to boost the cooperation between them.

The Egyptian president, for his part, said his visit comes as part of the clear orientation in the policy of the two countries and their continued regional and international coordination to support common interests in all fields.

He further said that the two countries have overcome all barriers and agreed on projects relating to electricity linkage, cooperation and coordination, stressing that his country would continue supporting these efforts and remove all barriers before fields of cooperation.

Sisi, heading a delegation including several ministers, arrived in Khartoum Thursday for an official two-day visit to Sudan.
